Job summary

Stryten Energy in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design and document Li-Ion battery systems for motive power. You will develop cost-effective, reliable, and durable products as part of a cross-functional team, using SolidWorks and PDM to manage data and BOMs.

Qualifications

BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in mechanical design.
Minimum of 1000 hours using SolidWorks; experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

Assessing a design brief to gauge the design requirements.
Developing solutions that solve user problems.
Creating multiple iterations of design prototypes using SolidWorks CAD tools.
Conducting rigorous usability tests and modifying the product based on the test results.
Evaluating design solutions against industry standards and regulations.
Vendor development support.
Other duties as assigned.
Technical Data Management: manage and control configuration of technical data in SolidWorks PDM.
Bill-of-material (BOM) creation and update.
Implementing technical data management within ERP system requirements.
