Job summary

Motive Workforce seeks a Battery Engineer, Mechanical to lead the mechanical design of advanced lithium-ion battery packs from concept through production, collaborating with engineering, program management, procurement, manufacturing and customers.

You will develop CAD models, prototypes, and presentations; create BOMs and procedures; perform analyses and simulations; support prototype builds, validation, and testing; and ensure compliance with standards and performance objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and development of advanced lithium-ion battery packs.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to make critical technical and program decisions.
• Identify technical challenges, develop solutions, and communicate impacts to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop CAD models, prototypes, and technical presentations.
• Create supporting documentation including bills of materials, assembly procedures, and installation instructions.
• Perform detailed design analysis, modeling, and performance simulations.
• Support prototype builds, manufacturing, validation, and testing activities.
• Verify battery hardware and software meet system requirements and performance objectives.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and regulatory requirements.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in designing next-generation battery packs used across multiple industries. In this position, you will lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts throughout the complete product development lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through detailed design, manufacturing, and testing.
