Job summary

Holtec International is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer III in Camden, NJ to lead design efforts for Dry Fuel Storage and Transportation projects. You will review specifications, drive integrated engineering processes, and oversee detailed fabrication drawings for manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of experience, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/AutoCAD/ANSYS), GD&T knowledge, and proven leadership. Travel up to 20% and collaboration across centers are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Nuclear engineering.
• 10+ years of related engineering experience.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with experience evaluating others’ work, resolving complex issues, and delivering constructive technical feedback.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Leadership to coordinate team workloads and meet schedules.
• Mentorship and training of junior engineers.
• Experience with CAD to create 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analyses.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Review client and Holtec specifications to determine design requirements.
• Coordinate and perform integrated product development and engineering processes to fulfill project requirements.
• Review product design for compliance with engineering principles and standards.
• Author and review design changes, specifications, analyses and drawings.
• Oversee preparation and review of concept drawings for equipment.
• Oversee preparation and review of fabrication drawings for manufacturers.
• Prepare Purchase/Technical Specifications and O&M Manuals.
• Provide technical resolutions for manufacturing deviations.
• Assist design team with accurate and timely project execution.
• Ensure QA standards and on-time delivery.
• Travel less than 20% of the time.
