Job summary

Mantis Innovation seeks a Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical) to lead assessments, feasibility analyses, and engineering design for utility and infrastructure improvements across client facilities. You will drive investment-grade cost estimates and deliver practical, cost-effective solutions from concept through implementation.

The role combines office, remote, and client-site work with travel as needed, offering a hybrid schedule and opportunities to influence energy efficiency, sustainability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years experience in development, design, or delivery of utility system modernization or energy projects.
• Technical experience with utility, HVAC, mechanical, or related infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and collect data to establish project baselines.
• Analyze facility infrastructure and identify energy, water, and operation improvements.
• Perform feasibility studies and technical evaluations for utility modernization.
• Develop project scopes, savings calculations, and investment-grade estimates.
• Prepare technical recommendations and project economics for proposals.
• Lead design engineering activities and ensure technical quality.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver on schedule.
• Support project implementation with design-build coordination and funding opportunities.
