Job summary

Arista Networks, Inc. seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical design and validation for next-generation data center hardware.

You will own the end-to-end process from concept to manufacturing, addressing cooling, EMC, safety, and cost constraints while collaborating with electrical, PCB, and CM teams. The role requires strong Creo skills, experience with thermal simulations, and familiarity with data center equipment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in mechanical design of computer/network equipment for data centers preferred.
• Experience designing sheet metal parts using tooling guidelines as well as plastic parts for cosmetic and non-cosmetic uses.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate mechanical components for next module or chassis.
• Create 3D models and drawings for prototyping and manufacturing.
• Manage PCB/ECAD integration and DFM concerns with CM.
• Support thermal simulations with 3D models and test lab validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and travel as needed.
