Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and validate mechanical components for next‑generation data center hardware. You will tackle structure, cooling, EMC, safety, manufacturability, cost, and tolerances while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to bring products to market on aggressive schedules.

The role requires strong Creo skills, experience with thermal simulations or airflow testing, and familiarity with DFM practices.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience designing mechanical parts for data-center equipment
• Experience with sheet metal and plastic parts
• Experience with Creo (a plus)
• Thermal and flow testing experience
• Knowledge of DFM (design for manufacturability)

Responsibilities

• Design and validate mechanical modules for data-center hardware.
• Develop structures, cooling, EMC, safety, and manufacturability.
• Create drawings and 3D models in Creo for prototyping.
• Manage BOMs and PLM processes with Agile.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews and testing.
• Assist with thermal simulations and lab testing.
• Work with ECAD and PCB teams for integration.
• Travel occasionally to Asia and North America.
