Our goal is to make machinery calibration easier for our customers by providing intuitive, accurate, and broadly applicable systems, supported by excellent service.

We are currently seeking an onsite Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Danbury, CT. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing new laser alignment products, as well as training production technicians on building these products. We seek a candidate with a proactive attitude, hands-on optical and mechanical engineering experience, and the ability to ensure our product designs are user-friendly and easy to assemble.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• 10+ years in mechanical engineering, especially in designing and testing new products; optics experience is a plus.
• Degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university; a master's degree is advantageous.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD for mechanical design.
• Experience in designing, fabricating, prototyping, testing, and implementing products.
• Strong knowledge of engineering practices, drawing generation for manufacturing, and quality control of parts.
• Experience interfacing with electronic engineers and integrating PCBs; understanding electronic concepts is beneficial.
• Experience with laser alignment or calibration systems is highly desirable.
• Persistent, problem-solving attitude with a proactive personality.
• Knowledge of machining centers, lathes, grinders, and similar machinery is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Ability to work independently, confidently, and as a self-starter.
