Job summary

Scientific Search in Rochester, NY, seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own mechanical design of cutting-edge solar modules. You will develop concepts and detailed designs using SolidWorks, and perform structural/FEA modeling to ensure durability and wind resistance.

You will drive prototypes through testing and manufacturing, design fixtures for pilot production, and collaborate across design, simulation, and testing teams. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Strong SolidWorks product-design background.
• Structural analysis, FEA and mechanical modeling expertise.
• Experience designing complex, real-world products/components.
• CFD, composites, polymers/seals or wind modeling is a plus.
• Solar experience is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

Help engineer the next generation of lightweight solar technology. My client is seeking a hands-on mechanical design engineer to solve challenging structural problems and help turn an innovative, frameless solar module into a robust, scalable commercial product.
