Job description

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Brecksville, OH location.

Your Responsibilities:

Design and analyze moderately complex mechanical systems, equipment, and products. Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication. Complete verification of prototypes and validation of manufactured products. Produce technical documentation of analysis and results to establish sustainable records.

Your Challenge:

  1. Modify existing and create new products to meet customer needs and industry standards.
  2. Design and conduct experiments, collect data, interpret results, and write analysis and test reports.
  3. Draw conclusions and reconcile differences between predicted and actual results.
  4. Provide engineering support and training to manufacturing to optimize yield, safety, quality, and cost.
  5. Ensure documentation and analysis for intellectual property rights, file disclosures, and patent applications.
  6. Develop expertise in assigned product lines and ensure marketing materials are technically accurate.

What you Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent; Master’s preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience in DOE, Statistical Analysis (e.g., Minitab), Disciplined Problem Solving (DPS), 3-D CAD.
  • Preferred experience with CFD/FEA modeling and Voice of Customer analysis.
  • Ability to create, iterate, validate designs, and conduct design reviews.
  • Project management skills.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
