Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Leadec. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will work with the engineering team to successfully and efficiently deliver high-quality mechanical engineering solutions to our external and internal customers. The position will report the Mechanical Engineering Group Manager.

Responsibilities

• Expertise creating, designing, installing, and building conveyor systems inside automotive facilities
• Work as a part of our engineering team or individually as directed by your supervisor
• Provide field engineering support for the installation and modification of equipment during summer shutdowns
• Use your engineering skills to design new or modify existing plant processing equipment, steel structures or system components
• 3-D Modeling, design and analysis
• 2-D CAD general arrangement and detailing
• Generation of Bills of Material for purchase or fabrication
• Team collaboration with systems engineering, project management and installation crews
• Field investigation including feasibility analysis, field measurements, and collaboration with installation crews

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience
• Expertise working with conveyor systems (design, installations, build, etc)
• Automotive Facility experience
