BlackRock Resources, LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Department Manager to lead our Pittsburgh-based mechanical engineering team with a focus on industrial piping systems. This role combines strong technical leadership with team development and project execution across metals, chemical, and heavy industrial sectors.

Qualified candidates will have a PE license (PA or another state preferred), a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 15+ years of engineering experience in industrial

Qualifications

• PE license preferred in Pennsylvania or another U.S. state.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 15+ years of engineering experience in industrial environments.
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Strong background in industrial piping system design and analysis.
• Experience leading projects from conceptual design through detailed engineering and execution.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers.
• Plan and allocate resources across multiple projects and proposals.
• Conduct performance reviews and support employee development initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to establish departmental goals, strategy, and growth plans.

• Oversee the successful execution of engineering services for multiple projects.
