Job summary

Jennings Mechanical in the Charleston area is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Superintendent to lead on-site operations for commercial and industrial projects. You will drive safe, efficient execution, coordinate with PMs, foremen, subcontractors, inspectors, and customers to keep the project on schedule and within budget.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in mechanical construction with 3+ years in supervision, strong HVAC/piping knowledge, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in commercial/industrial mechanical construction, with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience supervising mechanical field crews.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, sheet metal, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all on-site mechanical construction activities.
• Manage mechanical foremen, apprentices, helpers, and subcontractors.
• Plan daily work activities and short-term look-ahead schedules.
• Ensure work is performed per drawings, specifications, codes, and scope of work.
• Enforce Jennings Mechanical, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements.
• Coordinate work with general contractors, other trades, and inspectors.
• Monitor labor productivity and communicate progress to Project Management.
• Take off, get pricing and order materials such as not limited to snap locke, flex , etc.
• Assist with change orders, inspections, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower logs, and field documentation.
