Job summary

Legacy Placement Partners is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field execution on large, complex commercial mechanical projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The role focuses on HVAC, plumbing, piping, and related mechanical work, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule performance.

You will translate project requirements into executable field plans, develop manpower and material plans, and lead multiple teams to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial mechanical construction experience.
• Progressive field leadership with a mechanical/plumbing subcontractor.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to plan manpower, labor, materials, equipment, and field production.
• Experience reading drawings, specifications, schedules, and coordination documents.
• Strong understanding of construction safety, quality, testing, and code requirements.
• Experience leading large field teams and developing field leadership.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Comfortable with standard construction technology for drawings, reporting and time tracking.

Responsibilities

• Lead field teams performing commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, and mechanical installations.
• Develop and communicate work plans using drawings, schedules, budgets, and coordination information.
• Plan manpower, tools, equipment, access, prefabrication, deliveries, and work areas.
• Review drawings and project documents for constructability issues and scope gaps.
• Coordinate sequencing with project management, general contractors, other trades, vendors, inspectors, and commissioning teams.
• Monitor labor performance, installed quantities, schedule progress, material requirements, and field constraints.
• Ensure installations meet drawings, specifications, codes, approved submittals, and quality standards.
• Lead and develop Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel.
• Drive pre-task planning, job hazard analysis, toolbox talks, housekeeping, and incident-prevention activities.
• Partner with project leadership to keep projects on schedule and within labor expectations.
