Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical degree in related field preferred.
• 12+ years in commercial construction.
• Minimum of 5 years in field supervision.
• Willingness to travel.
• Communication skills, verbal and written.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Knowledge of self-perform and labor productivity.
• Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management.
• Knowledge of layout skill (Intermediate).
• Ability to read and understand plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Acquire knowledge of productivity rates.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the pre-project planning sessions to familiarize with project requirements and schedules.
• Organize pre-construction conferences with subcontractors and team members detailing safety, schedules and quality standards.
• Inspect work progress for compliance with plans and specs.
• Interact professionally with customers, vendors, management, and stakeholders.
• Assist with job pre-start activities and site setup.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of mechanical construction and installation.
• Manage costs and avoid back-charges and unrecoverable costs.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and monitor progress.
• Delegate responsibilities and monitor performance.
• Promote safety culture and mentoring on site.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure proper staffing for schedules and budgets.
• Walk sites weekly to review progress and quality.
• Oversee multiple job sites and ownership of installations.
• Identify critical items to manage risk and delays.
• Create punch lists for subcontractors.
• Lead weekly coordination meetings with subs and inspect scope of work.
• Apply Lean principles and travel as required.
