Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball is seeking a Mechanical Construction Superintendent to lead multiple large job sites, coordinating with general contractors and owners to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery of complex mechanical installations.

The role requires extensive field supervision, site planning, and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight. Travel may be required to support projects and maintain construction momentum.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Vocational/Technical degree in related field is preferred.
• 12+ years in commercial construction.
• Minimum of 5 years in field supervision.
• Willingness to travel if required.
• Proficiency in MS Office; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-project planning sessions to familiarize with project requirements and schedules.
• Organize and conduct pre-construction conferences with subcontractors and team members.
• Inspect work progress for compliance with plans and safety requirements.
• Interact professionally with customers, vendors, management, and stakeholders.
• Assist with job pre-start activities and set up of jobsite trailer and resources.
• Lead with knowledge of mechanical construction and installation.
• Manage costs and coordinate with project managers to meet schedules and budgets.
• Create punch lists for subcontractors and document weekly coordination meetings.
• Coordinate inspections and other trade work within scope of work.
• Lead Lean principles and travel as needed.
