Job summary

PowerSecure is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee construction projects, manage material and labor, and ensure timely, on-budget delivery. The role involves guiding supervisors and technicians, maintaining safety and quality standards, and coordinating with clients and stakeholders across trades.

Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, regulatory compliance, subcontractor management, and risk planning for projects typically valued from $100k to $5M.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years managing government contracts.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 6 years project management experience in commercial or industrial construction.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, etc.).
• OSHA 30 (training provided if needed).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
• Create and maintain a construction schedule and assign appropriate personnel to complete the project on schedule and within budget.
• Determine and advise on local laws concerning landfills, carting, local mechanical codes and permitting.
• Ensure safety practices are followed and work is performed safely and productively.
• Manage multiple energy efficiency projects concurrently.
• Prepare and deliver performance evaluations for project staff and provide training as needed.
• Maintain effective communications with clients, executives, subcontractors, permitting agencies, engineers, architects, and employees.
• Manage subcontractors per contract and onsite.
• Maintain a clean and safe work site and proper waste disposal.
• Inspect project sites before installation to identify equipment needs and plan work accordingly.
• Verify the quality and accuracy of work to meet customer expectations.
• Monitor, track, and maintain records of all materials used and remaining.
• Maintain documentation and ensure timely deliverables.
• Procure storage facilities for project materials and equipment.
• Create and maintain Project Risk Plans and oversee QA requirements.
• Typical project value ranges from 100K to 5M.
