APSI Construction Management, Inc. seeks a Construction Manager/Mechanical Engineer (CM-ME) to support the VA Medical Center in West Haven, CT on the Surgical and Clinical Tower – Phase A1 and A2 projects.

Qualifications

Must have an engineering degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering and 5 years’ inspecting mechanical construction.
Knowledge of HVAC systems, medical gas, domestic water, chilled water, and steam systems.

Responsibilities

Provide construction management support for the VA project through the Senior Resident Engineer’s office.
Perform constructability reviews, monitoring/inspecting, reporting, data entry, proposals review, and coordination.
Maintain project schedules, attend weekly/bilevel progress meetings, and monitor contractor payments.
Support in change orders, cost estimates, and budget tracking; monitor financial data.
Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project standards.
