Job summary

The Northern Manufacturing Co., Inc. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Assembly Technician in Oak Harbor, Ohio. The role involves hands-on assembly from prints, troubleshooting, and mentoring junior team members in a dynamic custom fabrication environment.

You will read blueprints, select assembly methods, and ensure components meet quality standards while safely using hand tools, power tools, forklifts and cranes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in mechanical assembly or similar hands-on experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and assembly drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently and mentor others.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Independently complete complex mechanical assembly work on custom projects from prints and docs.
• Assemble and install mechanical components and systems per specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine assembly requirements.
• Determine assembly methods and sequence based on prints and requirements.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot fit, alignment, and assembly issues.
