Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking a Mechanical Assembler III for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM). The role involves assembling LV MCC breakers, sub-assemblies, and wiring, with training on the 1st shift as needed.

You will read BOMs, drawings, and follow wiring instructions while using torque wrenches and other tools. Safety and efficiency are emphasized, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, technical drawings and identify parts and components.
• Extensive experience with hand and power tools and torque wrenches.
• Able to lift parts or sub-assemblies up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Proficient in English (read, write, speak).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire LV MCC breakers, structures, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders; punch and bend copper on EHRT punch machines as a Mechanical Assembler III.
• Perform sub-assembly tasks including mechanical assembly, control wiring, power cable work, and interconnection of control wires.
• Read and follow BOMs, layouts, assembly drawings, and wiring instructions.
• Use tools appropriately, including setting and using torque wrenches accurately.
• Maintain safety standards and comply with OH&S policies; support continuous improvement.
• Assist process improvement and complete additional tasks as assigned.
