Collins Aerospace is seeking a skilled assembler to set up and assemble parts, read procedures, and maintain quality. The role requires brazing experience, U.S. Person status, and compliance with EH&S.

You will work onsite, rotate through stations, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives while meeting customer deadlines. Eligible candidates should have a HS diploma or GED with at least 2 years of related experience; a strong understanding of safety standards and quality systems is

Competenze

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62
• Minimum three years of brazing experience doing moderately complex braze joint.

Mansioni

• Set up, assemble parts, and load parts.
• Demonstrate proper use of simple hand and machine tools with basic troubleshooting around machine setup and function.
• Read and follow procedures, routing, and other work instructions.
• Maintain quality product standards with no defects. Identify part defects and elevate as needed.
• Build parts that meet customer deadlines and expectations while maintaining established safety and quality standards.
• Comply with elements of quality systems and understand how they apply to the product being produced.
• Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement plans/events as required.
• Participate in audits with positive communication practices.
• Acquire applicable skills/knowledge/certifications as required.
• Stay compliant with site training and recertification requirements.
• Maintain materials, equipment, and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning activities.
• Rotate to different workstations as business needs change.
• Complete assigned tasks within scope and skill level to support department objectives.
• Check work methods and results for conformance and re-instruct as required.
• Report progress and updates to lead or supervisor, including failures to meet quality standards.
• Must be available for overtime, extended workdays and weekends.
• Comply with EH&S policies and wear PPE.
• Attend EH&S trainings as required.
• Report unsafe practices and conditions to ensure prompt resolution.
• Recommend improvements to EH&S practices to create a safer workplace.
• Other duties as assigned.
