Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of equipment including aerial platforms, pumps, HVAC, and diesel systems.

You will work with a team in a safety-focused setting to minimize downtime and keep jobs on track. Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel/heavy equipment, a high school diploma or GED, and may possess trade training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel/heavy equipment or specialty lines equipment preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
• Bilingual may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment.
• Work with a variety of makes and models, including larger equipment.
• Maintain safe, efficient operation and minimize downtime.
• Support service and potential career development in operations management.
