Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a variety of equipment, including aerial work platforms and general construction tools.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel/heavy equipment, strong hydraulic and electrical knowledge, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting. A high school diploma or GED is required; some trade school training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training preferred.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel/heavy equipment or related equipment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical systems; ability to troubleshoot and adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment.
• Operate safely to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
