Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanic III SR to join our Odessa facility. You will disassemble, rebuild, test, and finish moderate to highly complex equipment in a fast-paced shop environment, applying precise workmanship to engineering specifications and ensuring outputs meet exacting tolerances for reliable performance.

Reading engineering prints, interpreting drawings, and setting up test operations are essential daily tasks.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in mechanical test and assembly/disassembly or heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Able to interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications.
• Physically capable of pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and other physical demands.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, position, reassemble, test, and paint moderate to highly complex equipment.
• Use a wide range of mechanical tools and equipment to complete assembly, disassembly, and testing tasks.
• Interpret drawings, prints, and engineering specifications to guide your work.
• Set up and run test operations in line with engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments before operations and material movements, and follow all EHS policies.
• Keep your work area safe, clean, and organized.
• Identify and report problems or hazardous conditions during equipment operations.
• Complete required documentation and business training accurately and on time.
