Recology is seeking a skilled maintenance mechanic to service and repair heavy landfill equipment and processing systems. You will diagnose, test, and repair vehicles, trailers, balers, conveyors and motors to ensure safe, continuous operation.

The role requires experience as a journeyman mechanic, knowledge of diesel engines and electrical controls, and the ability to lead others. A Class A/B CDL is preferred and safety compliance is essential for this position.

Qualificações

• Four years of progressively responsible mechanical experience as a journeyman mechanic.
• Waste and recycling industry experience preferred.
• Experience with DOT Out-of-Service Criteria and CHP inspections.
• Experience with maintenance facilities and heavy landfill equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of diesel and/or natural gas engines and heavy equipment components.
• Knowledge of electrical controls and motor systems.
• Familiarity with safety rules and job hazards.
• Basic computer skills and documentation ability.
• Graduation from formal mechanical trade school highly desirable.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with no restrictions within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Diagnoses, tests and repairs vehicles and heavy landfill equipment including powertrains, drivetrains and related systems.
• Diagnoses and repairs refuse vehicle and transfer trailer body systems including hydraulic and electrical.
• Maintains processing equipment such as balers, conveyors and motors, and shop facilities.
• Performs basic fabrication work with welding equipment and tools.
• Orders and maintains shop parts and supplies.
• Completes paperwork and computer entries for work performed.
• Acts as lead worker by instructing and directing others and reviewing work.
