Job summary

Motor Coach Industries (MCI) is hiring multiple Mechanics across a range of skill levels at our Blackwood, NJ location. The role involves diagnosing and repairing diesel, electric, and hydrogen engines, with opportunities to mentor junior mechanics.

Responsibilities include electrical and pneumatic system maintenance, HVAC, routine lubrication, and component replacement. CDL and HV certifications are valued, with extensive on-the-job training and growth potential.

Qualifications

5–10 years of experience in automotive, diesel, or related fields.
CDL with Air and Passenger endorsements preferred but not required.
HV safety certification and HV maintenance/training highly desired for hybrid/electric work.
Experience with diagnostic tools such as Vansco and Cummins INSITE.
Proficiency with fleet and data management software (Oracle, Fleetio).
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair a range of engine types including diesel, electric, and hydrogen.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Mechanic Helpers and IV team members.
Troubleshoot and repair engine and body accessories (HVAC, electrical, pneumatics).
Perform routine and advanced maintenance, including parts removal/installation.
Assist in glass installations and basic body repairs.
