Job summary

Herc Rentals Inc. is seeking a Mechanic B in Sussex, WI to keep fleet equipment rental-ready through preventative and corrective maintenance. You will perform maintenance, diagnose issues, and document services for a variety of heavy equipment.

The role requires hands-on tool proficiency, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in heavy equipment repair.
• Own a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs and services.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all Herc-owned fleet at the branch.
• Operate and test equipment to meet Herc Rentals quality and efficiency standards.
• Diagnose internal combustion engines, DC electrical systems, propane systems, hydraulics, and fuel systems.
• Enter work orders and complete part ordering via fleet management system.
