Qualifications

• High school education and 3-4 years of progressive supermarket experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the meat department.
• Achieve budgeted financial results.
• Prepare meat products for sale (cut, slice, trim, wrap, weigh, price).
• Support in-store selling culture through merchandising and pricing programs.
• Schedule the department and manage staff performance.
• Ensure compliance with standards and ALI audits.
• Train and develop department staff and future leaders.
• Maintain sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Keep coolers/freezers clean and stocked.
• Execute pricing audits, pull lists, and flyer recaps.
• Own the meat department operations and coordinate with DSD Receiver.
• Foster a guest-focused selling environment and comply with laws.
• Perform PA announcements and other tasks as assigned.
