Job summary

Mercy Retirement & Care Center in Oakland is seeking a Community Coordinator and Driver to support the Mercy Brown Bag Program. You will deliver groceries to 2–5 sites daily, load pallets, and operate trucks while providing excellent customer service and coordinating with partner site staff and volunteers.

Applicants should be at least 18 years old, hold a valid CA driver’s license with a clean record, and pass background checks and screenings as required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Valid California Class C Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Background checks, drug screening, TB test as required by state/local guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill grocery orders for Mercy Brown Bag Program in Oakland, delivering 2–5 sites per day.
• Load and unload pallets, operate 20-foot box trucks and mobile market vehicles.
• Provide excellent customer service and coordinate with site staff and volunteers.
• Maintain inventory records and recipient tracking with partner sites.
• Promote Mercy Brown Bag Program and represent the organization professionally at site visits.
