Requirements include 18+ years old, First Aid Certification, a California Class C license, and experience with pallet jacks. Knowledge of Bay Area routing helps, with safety and documentation responsibilities to support the program.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Strong verbal communication skills with partners, volunteers and staff.
• Proficient with GPS and routing systems; Bay Area knowledge preferred.
• Basic math skills to calculate portions across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills grocery orders for Mercy Brown Bag Program in Oakland, delivering at 2–5 sites per day.
• Loads, unloads, and operates 20-foot box trucks and mobile markets.
• Delivers items to sites, sets up distributions, and ensures customer service quality.
• Keeps recipient tracking and inventory records accurate.
• Represents Mercy Brown Bag professionally during site visits and tours.
• Maintains safety and cleanliness in warehouse and vehicles, per regulations.
