Job summary

AllThrive 365 in Peoria, AZ is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the kitchen and nutrition staff for congregate and home-delivered meals at Peoria and/or Wickenburg Senior Centers. The role involves meal prep, serving, and assisting with deliveries.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 1+ year experience with large-group cooking, a valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid or ability to obtain, and a Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year+ experience handling, preparing, and cooking food for large groups (100-150).
• Able to read, write and follow written instructions.
• Possess CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Possess Valid Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Clear fingerprint background screening as required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the cook with preparation, cooking and serving of meals.
• Assists with ordering food and supplies.
• Assists with inventory count.
• Ensures proper storage of food and tools for quality and sanitation.
• Operates and cleans kitchen appliances and refrigeration equipment.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of equipment.
• Assists with kitchen clean-up to keep sanitary conditions.
• Assists with delivery of home-delivered meals.
• Cover Cook and HDM driver duties when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
