Job summary

AllThrive 365 is hiring a Full Time kitchen assistant in Peoria, AZ to support the preparation and serving of congregate and home-delivered meals for the Peoria and Wickenburg Senior Centers.

The role requires 1+ year of food service experience, a valid driver license, and CPR/First Aid; schedule involves 31+ hours weekly for full-time and up to 30 for part-time. Applicants must pass background checks and be 18+.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year+ experience handling, preparing, and cooking food for large groups (100-150).
• Able to read, write and follow written instructions.
• Valid unrestricted driver license and be insurable by AllThrive 365 with valid MVR.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of position entry.
• Valid Food Handlers Card or ability to obtain within 60 days of position entry.
• Clear fingerprint background screening through DPS and comprehensive background clearance.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assists the cook with preparation, cooking and serving of congregate and home-delivered meals, ensuring portions, temperatures and sanitation.
• Assists the cook with ordering food and supplies.
• Assists with the inventory count.
• Ensures proper storage of food and tools to maintain quality, sanitation and accessibility.
• Operates, maintains and cleans kitchen appliances, tools and refrigeration equipment.
• Assists with cleaning and sanitizing equipment and tools used in the kitchen.
• Assists with kitchen clean-up to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Assists with special programs conducted by staff or volunteers.
• Assist with delivery, to include driving, of home-delivered meals.
• Full Time position works a minimum of 31 hours per week; Part Time up to 30 hours per week.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Provides direct assistance to the kitchen and nutrition staff for congregate and home-delivered meal services for Peoria Senior Center and/or Wickenburg Senior Center.

This position has no reports.

Essential Functions:

• Assists the cook with ordering food and supplies


• Assists with the inventory count


• Ensures proper storage of food and tools to maintain quality, sanitation and accessibility for use


• Operates, maintains and cleans kitchen large and small appliances, kitchen tools, and refrigeration equipment


• Assists with cleaning and sanitizing equipment and tools used in the kitchen


• Assists with kitchen clean-up in order to maintain sanitary conditions


• Assists with special programs conducted by the staff or volunteer organizations


• Assist with delivery, to include driving, of home-delivered meals


• Full Time position works a minimum of 31 hours per week


• Part Time position works a maximum of 30 hours per week


• This position is classified as Safety Sensitive


• Expected to cover Cook and HDM drivers when necessary
