Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Public Health seeks a Nursing Supervisor for the Maternal Child Health division in the Pee Dee service area. You will plan, organize, and evaluate services, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with agency policies while coordinating with community partners.

The role emphasizes leadership in employee health and safety programs, quality improvement, staff development, and committee participation, with travel as required to support public health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or equivalent and current RN licensure in SC.
• Minimum three (3) years nursing experience, two in Public Health Nursing or community-based nursing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement and evaluate Maternal Child Health services in the Pee Dee region.
• Provide direct supervision and management for MCH program and Employee Health nursing staff.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
• Coordinate staff development, training, and professional education; participate in committees as assigned.
