Job summary

Elbit America is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to perform requirements analysis, system design, integration, verification, and cost/risk management for defense systems. You will guide MBSE-driven development and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet technical, cost, and schedule goals.

The role involves leading system development activities, supporting proposals, and mentoring junior engineers, with travel to customer sites and affiliates as required.

Qualifications

• Hold an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-optical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• MBSE concepts and system architecture development experience is required.
• DoD clearance at Secret level is required; GNC background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, develop, and document system level requirements, CONOPS, and mission statements.
• Produce and/or review technical documents, specifications and standards.
• Perform requirements management, analysis, and allocations on complex systems design.
• Effectively document and communicate designs, results, reports, and presentations.
• Work with Technical functions to develop and document product architectures that meet goals.
• Lead system development utilizing MBSE best practices and define/execute trade studies.
• Lead customer interactions to understand Voice of the Customer and product requirements.
• Support proposal development activities, including cost estimating and presentation activities.
• Drive system integration efforts including hands-on evaluation of prototypes.
• Plan and support verification and validation activities for complex designs.
