Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Principal Engineer Systems Architect to join the on-site Melbourne, FL team. You will design system architectures, define capabilities, and manage interfaces to meet customer needs in a fast-paced, MBSE-driven environment.

The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years (BS), 3 years (MS), or 1 year (PhD) of related experience, plus MBSE and Cameo experience. DoD TS clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree with 5+ years (BS) or 3+ years (MS) or 1 year (PhD) of related professional/military experience.
• Experience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering.
• Experience modeling software systems and software system of systems.
• Experience with Systems engineering tools (e.g., Cameo Suite) and Agile framework.
• Security clearance: active DoD Top Secret (or higher) or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Create conceptual data models and data flows with cross-functional teams.
• Design, develop, and document systems using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.
• Implement data strategies and develop physical data models.
• Coach team members on requirements, architecture, design, and model implementation.
• Perform Systems Requirements analysis and manage requirements (decomposition, allocation, verification, validation).
