Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Melbourne, FL is seeking an Engineer Systems Architect / Principal Engineer Systems Architect to join our Systems Engineering team. The role focuses on defining architectures, CONOPS, and MBSE-based analyses, with responsibilities spanning requirements allocation and interface definitions.

The candidate will work on model-based development, perform trade studies, and ensure performance meets customer needs while navigating security clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline with 2 years related experience, or MS with 0 years, or STEM PhD with 0 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government Secret clearance in-scope or via Continuous Evaluation.
• Experience with SysML/MBSE, Use cases, and Sequence diagrams using MBSE tools such as Cameo.

Responsibilities

• Define system architectures and CONOPS.
• Develop use cases and architecture models using MBSE.
• Translate requirements into hardware/software specifications via analysis and interface definition.
• Perform trade studies to select among multiple solutions.
• Analyze system requirements and manage decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation.
