Job summary

SAIC seeks a Senior Digital Engineer to apply MBSE methods and SysML-based architectures for DoD space programs. The role involves integrating models across teams, producing MBSE artifacts, and performing simulations with Matlab/STK to support mission architecture and verification.

You will work with government personnel and system engineers to ensure end-to-end performance and compliance with contract requirements, while expanding MBSE practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline.
• Five years of systems integration and systems engineering experience or equivalent.
• Active Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with model-based system engineering and space domain knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Apply MBSE tools to capture system architecture using SysML diagrams and define operations, services, interfaces, and CONOPS.
• Support requirements allocations and functional decomposition to hardware, software and components.
• Integrate models from multiple stakeholders into an end-to-end architecture.
• Produce model-based products, including DoDAF artifacts, to support milestones and deliverables.
• Apply simulation/analysis to the mission architecture using Matlab and STK.
• Establish best modeling practices with government counterparts and ensure SysML standards.
• Generate engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, designs, and verification.
• Collaborate with prime contractors, government stakeholders, and the US Space Force.
