Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to join our team at Kirtland AFB, NM. The role focuses on MBSE-driven model-based engineering, translating customer needs into technical requirements and defining architectures for space systems.

You will conduct risk assessments, manage interfaces, and contribute to systems architecture development while supporting integration, verification, and test activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering with 9+ years of relevant experience; Master’s degree with 7+ years.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support model-based systems for a variety of systems.
• Develop and improve Systems Engineering processes for the program across all development levels.
• Communicate with all levels of the organization to determine process needs and support engineers as a MBSE SME.
• Partner with other Systems Engineers to design full life-cycle systems engineering processes including documentation, workflow automation, traceability.
