Job summary

SPA is seeking a Senior Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to provide analysis support to the Portfolio Acquisition Executive, Maritime, Expeditionary Missions (PMS 408). The candidate should possess a strong background in defense acquisition and MBSE practices in accordance with DoD standards.

The role involves supporting SE activities, using MBSE tools and methodologies, and ensuring traceability across requirements, architecture, and test plans, with on-site work up to five days per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of DoD acquisition lifecycle and SE processes.
• Ability to work onboard Navy ships or other platforms.
• Onsite work up to 5 days per week; telework may be available.

Responsibilities

• Support SE reviews and milestone decisions with technical documents and data packages.
• Develop and manage architecture frameworks using DODAF and NFARM.
• Create RTVMs, PSPECs and test plans in modeling tools.
• Apply INCOSE SE Handbook guidance to manage complex architectures.
• Use UML, SysML, and DoN MBSE environments for SE activities.
• Perform simulations and trade-off analyses.
