Job summary

Mayvin is seeking a Senior MBSE Engineer in Alexandria, VA to provide analysis support for PMS 408, leveraging model-based systems engineering to meet DoD standards and best practices.

The ideal candidate has DoD lifecycle experience, strong SE tooling skills (MBSE, DODAF, NFARM), and the ability to lead and collaborate in a fast-paced defense environment. You will develop technical documents, participate in SE reviews, manage traceability, and apply INCOSE guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years in a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of DoD acquisition lifecycle and SE processes (DoDI 5000.97).
• Ability to work onboard Navy ships or platforms for short testing periods.
• Self-starter with leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to produce, evaluate, and present technical reports and briefings.

Responsibilities

• Support SE Technical Reviews and milestone decisions, develop TDP components and related models.
• Perform requirements analysis with traceability from requirements to system/subsystems and tests.
• Develop and manage architecture frameworks, using DODAF and NFARM.
• Create RTVMs, PSPECs, and test plans in MBSE tools.
• Apply INCOSE SE Handbook and DoN guidance to manage complex architectures.
• Use UML, SysML, and UPDM (UAF) in SE activities.
• Operate Nav IME, Cameo tools, and Teamwork Cloud for simulations and trade-off analyses.
