Job summary
Quest Defense Systems and Solutions seeks a Senior MBSE Systems Engineer to develop and validate GPS navigation algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink. You will run simulations, document derivations, and analyze data with statistical methods. Onsite work includes Cedar Rapids, IA; Fullerton, CA; and Sterling, VA with relocation assistance available.
The role emphasizes model-based development, lab contributions, and collaboration on mission-critical defense systems. U.S. citizenship is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced STEM degree with 3+ years.
- Experience in MATLAB and Simulink.
- Experience in code optimization and numerical stability.
- Experience in Systems Engineering discipline.
- Ability to read and develop algorithm descriptions, mathematical expressions and derivations.
Responsibilities
- Test and validate navigation algorithms and models using MATLAB and Simulink.
- Develop tools and test infrastructure for model and algorithm testing.
- Analyze data using advanced mathematical and statistical techniques.
- Contribute to lab-based work on target products.
- Perform code reviews to improve quality.
