Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Woodland Hills, CA, seeks a Principal or Senior Principal Software Engineer to join our software team developing navigation and mission-critical software.

You will design, implement, test, and integrate software for state-of-the-art navigation systems using MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, and Python, in an on-site, fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years of hands-on software development experience; Masters in STEM with 3 years of hands-on software development experience; PhD in STEM with 1 year of hands-on software development experience
• Experience developing software in MATLAB or Simulink
• Experience with programming in C, C++, or Python
• Experience with ClearCase, Git, ClearQuest or Jira
• U.S. Citizenship is required and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance
• On-site full-time work

Responsibilities

• Developing, testing, and debugging software for navigation systems
• Improve and expand capabilities in software design and code development
• Perform software and system integration on state-of-the-art hardware, learn Model Based Engineering, and work in an agile environment
