Job summary

Lockheed Martin Skunk Works seeks a talented Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Software Engineer to join a high-energy team supporting an Advanced Development Program. The role spans development of navigation algorithms, Kalman filtering, and embedded software across Fort Worth, TX and Palmdale, CA, with emphasis on Matlab/Simulink and sensor fusion.

The engineer will contribute to model-based software generation, testing, and integration, with travel as needed and strong collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aeronautical/aerospace engineering, mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• Proficiency with Matlab and Simulink software.
• Working knowledge of C, C++ and scripting languages (Lua, Python).
• Experience with Kalman filter design and GPS integration.

Responsibilities

• Work on navigation and timing algorithms for GNC software within a multi-site team.
• Develop and test software from models and embedded targets.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers; occasional travel.
