Job summary

ICI Services seeks a Model-Based Systems Engineer IV to join our team in Washington, DC. The role focuses on MBSE across the acquisition lifecycle, developing and evaluating models for complex naval systems within a DoD context.

The position requires 10+ years in US Navy Fleet systems engineering, familiarity with SysML/UML, and experience with leading MBSE tools. This is a full-time, on-site role with comprehensive benefits and security clearances as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, naval architecture or related field.
• Active Professional Engineer License required.
• 10+ years of Navy shipbuilding or defense systems experience.
• Familiarity with MBSE principles and SysML/UML in complex DoD contexts.
• Experience with MBSE/digital environments and cross-platform collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Apply MBSE to support requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation across acquisition lifecycles.
• Provide MBSE analysis including open architecture models and program documentation.
• Evaluate and compare alternative architectures using qualitative and quantitative techniques.
• Support development and trade studies in system-of-system architectures using models.
• Support model development, documentation and review boards.
• Provide engineering services to develop end-to-end integrated modeling environments for design, development, acquisition and sustainment.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers on system integration.
