Job summary

WestEd is seeking a Mathematics Systems Improvement Lead to provide strategic and technical leadership for a portfolio of math education projects, including systemic improvements at state and local levels. You will guide complex client engagements, design professional learning, and grow service offerings.

The role emphasizes leadership development, cross‑functional collaboration, and evidence‑based decision making, with remote work options and opportunities to influence education outcomes

Qualifications

Advanced degree in education or related field required.
Significant experience in school, district, or system leadership at senior level.
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and written communication skills.
Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

Lead design and facilitation of mathematics professional learning and TA for leaders.
Design learning experiences that integrate research, evidence, and adult learning.
Serve as senior facilitator and thought partner to state, district, and school leaders.
Use data and evidence to identify needs, monitor implementation, and drive improvement.
Develop frameworks and tools to strengthen WestEd’s math system‑improvement services.
