Job summary

American Institutes for Research is seeking a Technical Assistance Consultant to strengthen knowledge and capacity for evidence-based mathematics interventions within MTSS and special education frameworks.

This role emphasizes systems-level coaching, implementation science, professional learning, and data-based decision making to support educators and leaders in applying research to practice for students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience with master's, or 6 years with bachelor's.
• Deep knowledge of MTSS, RTI, DBI, and supports for students with disabilities.
• Experience coaching districts and schools and using implementation data.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive technical assistance to state agencies, districts, schools, and leadership teams.
• Design and deliver professional learning and coaching on MTSS and mathematics intervention.
• Develop implementation tools and fidelity measures aligned with project goals.
• Analyze implementation and student outcome data to inform coaching.
• Collaborate with researchers and project teams to translate research into practice.
