Job summary

WestEd in the United States seeks a Senior Program Manager in Mathematics Education to provide strategic and technical leadership for a portfolio of math education projects, including systemic improvement at state and local levels. This role leads complex client engagements, designs and facilitates professional learning, develops offerings, and grows client partnerships nationwide.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in education, educational leadership, curriculum, administration, evaluation, or a related field.
• Significant experience in senior-level education leadership roles.
• Deep knowledge of mathematics education including instructional design, pedagogy and assessment.
• Experience developing mathematics curricular frameworks and instructional materials.
• Experience designing and facilitating professional learning and technical assistance for mathematics leaders.
• Experience leading complex projects with strategy, budgets, and client relationships.
• Ability to use research, data, and evidence to inform decision making and improvements.
• Excellent facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and facilitation of high-quality mathematics professional learning and technical assistance for education leaders at state, district, and local levels.
• Design learning experiences that integrate research, evidence, adult learning, and practical leadership realities.
• Serve as a senior facilitator and thought partner to leaders addressing complex instructional challenges.
• Support leaders in using data and evidence to identify needs and monitor implementation.
• Develop frameworks, tools, and approaches that strengthen WestEd's mathematics system improvement services.
• Direct multiple complex projects from design through implementation and evaluation.
• Oversee project teams, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships with educational leaders and partners.
• Identify opportunities to expand professional development and technical assistance services.
• Lead business development and proposal leadership to grow mathematics education offerings.
