Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Materials & Process Engineering (MPE) Program Lead to drive design, development, and manufacturing of missile hardware. This onsite role coordinates with multiple functions to meet milestones, cost, and schedule targets.

The ideal candidate will have a materials engineering background, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with program gate reviews and MRB/CCB processes. A U.S. government security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in related roles.
• Experience solving materials problems and selecting materials or coatings to address issues.
• Experience with mechanical test methods and/or chemical analysis methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide MPE support for program review meetings (CCB, MRB, PCB, ERB, PMCB).
• Ensure peer reviews align with program deliverables and One Voice.
• Manage workload to meet schedule needs for programs and MPE team.
• Lead trade studies to identify materials, properties, and processes; benchmark technologies; justify material choices.
• Ensure labor costs and schedules provided by MPE meet commitments.
• Mentor and train early career engineers; participate in Failure Investigation Teams.
