Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager for a Tucson, AZ program. The role focuses on materials management, cost/schedule/quality performance, and supplier management, interfacing with multiple internal teams.

Ideal candidates bring strong experience in forecasting, EAC risk management, and cross-functional leadership, with the ability to lead budgeting and financial management efforts across programs.

Qualifications

• Typically requires: a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, operations, production control, procurement, and/or finance.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, PRISM, Kinaxis or equivalent ERP system.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain EVMS certification and MPM certification within one year in the role.
• Support MPM Leads with monthly material forecasting via ROMS and MFT tools.
• Act as, or support, the CAM to manage material budgets and EAC for the program.
• Support MPM Leads in annual AOP development.
• Develop and execute Material Program Plans and Supplier Management Plans.
• Plan and execute sourcing decisions and support Make/Buy/Where process.
• Communicate and translate requirements to suppliers; conduct supplier engagements related to capability, capacity, opportunity, and risk.
• Drive Purchase Requisition generation and Purchase Order placement/management.
