Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Principal Materials & Processes Engineer to provide support in composites, structural adhesives, and other organic materials used in nacelle applications.

In this role, you will lead the development, approval, and continuous improvement of materials and process specifications, serve as a primary M&P technical authority to program design teams, and resolve complex issues raised by Operations and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree and 8+ years experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Experience independently leading complex engineering tasks and customer-facing activities.
• Technical writing skills (specifications and reports).

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead technical solutions for complex engineering problems with strategic direction.
• Guide material catalog strategy and approve special process qualifications.
• Lead and mentor engineers, review engineering documents and reports.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
