Job summary

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience with thermal analysis and characterization techniques (TGA, DSC, DMA, TMA, CTE).
• Experience with analytical chemistry and instrumental analysis (FTIR, GC-MS, IC, rheology).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate materials based on conformance to specifications and performance requirements.
• Develop and/or validate materials, material properties, and processes for use on existing and new products.
• Provide resolutions to technical, operational, and supplier problems related to materials and processes.
• Conduct hands-on testing of materials using diverse laboratory techniques.
• Follow standard written protocols and develop/ fabricate unique test plans and setups.
• Review material documentation and assess specifications.
• Engage with SMEs to understand material usage and collaborate with suppliers.
